The Role
As we scale production, we’re looking for a Build Reliability Engineer to take our in-house manufacturing to the next level — from small-scale manufacturing to industrial series production.
If you are focused on processes and tests to deliver efficiency and high-quality standards for production, this will be a great professional challenge for you to be part of the whole process of manufacturing in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
- Develop manufacturing, integration, assembly and testing processes, ensuring consistency across work centers.
- Develop training for production and inspection processes, ensuring efficient and stable quality at increasing production volumes.
- Develop and execute test plans and test equipment. Drive scripting and automation of tests for both electronics and mechanical parts.
- Oversee and control quality escapes to ensure systemic issues are corrected and risk is managed for the fleet.
- Work closely with the team to improve Design for Manufacturing and requirement fulfillment.
- Conduct build quality reviews to identify repeat and high impact issues. Drive corrective action by properly setting up software and devices.
What you bring
- Experience with production scale-up in hardware/manufacturing sector
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools, process automation, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, lead times, and logistics challenges.
- Proven experience of testing & quality assurance processes for electronic/electromechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving mindset—able to quickly identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
- English minimum at B2 level
- Valid work permit for Italy (EU)
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or drone industry.
- Expert in electronics & software engineering – ability to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Familiarity with robotic assembly, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
- Experience with scripting.
- Experience with Odoo
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
